“This is a US-based social services program that includes food packing and meal distribution by Couples for Christ members to the hungry, homeless, and poor in their local areas. We collaborate and support parishes, dioceses, and catholic organizations in going out to the periphery and showing Christ’s compassionate love to those who are needy in their neighborhoods.”

ANCOP Illinois conducts their Feeding the Hungry and Homeless Program activities during the month of May to benefit needy families within their local communities. ANCOP Bloomington, Minnesota launched a food packing event and program at the Saint Bonaventure Parish last April of 2023. ANCOP Albuquerque, New Mexico conducted one of their first Feeding program activities in May of 2024 at the Joy Junction Shelter and at the San Ignacio Parish to benefit the Saint Vincent de Paul food pantry among other beneficiaries. ANCOP Las Vegas, Nevada launched a Homeless and Feeding Ministry in March of 2024, where elements of service, friendships and fellowship are also forms of caring and evangelization. With May being dedicated as Month of Loving the Poor, ANCOP Houston, Texas launched their program of partnering with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church parish with their Food Pantry Drive feeding the poor. Members bring non-perishable items such as canned goods to fill the parish pantry for their mission of feeding the poor.

ANCOP Washington, DC has been organizing groups to gather and distribute food in various places in the District especially during Easter and Thanksgiving to uplift the spirit of those temporarily residing in the Homes for the Homeless. ANCOP South Maryland delivers packed and canned food to the St Mary’s Catholic Church food pantry every month during their general assembly. The delivered food is estimated to benefit about 50 to 100 homeless individuals. ANCOP Northern Virginia launched a Feed the Hungry and Homeless Program during one of their general assemblies. To make the program more efficient they partnered with Link Against Hunger for an ongoing feeding activity of 1) Directly transporting donated food to the designated food pantries and 2) Directly signing up on the Link online signup page to volunteer to deliver food to needy families.

ANCOP Tampa has partnered with Incarnation Catholic Church and at the T.H.O.R.N. ministry with a Feeding Program that provides for an average of 200 meals to the homeless. ANCOP Bradenton has partnered with the Blessed Sacrament Church with a feeding program that continuously replenishes the church’s food pantry. ANCOP Broward County has partnered with Holy Redeemer Church and in coordination with St. Vincent de Paul Ministry conducts food distribution campaigns. ANCOP Okeechobee assists with a Feeding the Homeless program through the Big Lake Mission Outreach (BLMO). BLMO was initiated by a couple in 1995 to help the homeless and needy in Okeechobee community. ANCOP Jacksonville launched their ANCOP Feed the Hungry and Homeless Program at one of their Chapter Assemblies to benefit the St. John’s Emergency Food Pantry. ANCOP Port Charlotte conducts Food Drives to celebrate ANCOP’s Month of the Poor every May. ANCOP Miami has partnered with St. Vincent de Paul Ministry of Good Shepherd Church to distribute packed food to the needy in their communities. ANCOP Orlando helps St. Vincent de Paul in the organizing and distribution of packed and canned food to benefit the hungry and the needy.

ANCOP Vallejo has partnered with Mensa Christi of the St. Catherine of Siena Parish with a Food From the Heart feeding program that provides for an average of 600 meals to the homeless. The feeding program is conducted weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Vallejo is a very active group in ANCOP’s work for the poor as far as providing food for the homeless and hungry. Their feeding program takes them to many parts of northern California distributing an average of 600 meals about 7 to 10 times a month. Mensa Christi and ANCOP also support Catholic Charities of Yolo and Solano counties. ANCOP Salinas serves home cooked chicken and love to their community’s unhoused neighbors. They get praised time and time again that: “you won’t find a gentler example of ‘love your neighbor’ than this group”. ANCOP Richmond WCCC-ANCOP Food from the Heart conducts feeding love offerings for the youth at youth camps with the Missionary Sisters of Charity at St. Mark’s Church. ANCOP Los Angeles takes them to various parts of southern California such as the downtown Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, Glendale and Downey homeless shelters and encampments distributing food to the homeless and hungry. ANCOP San Diego is another very active group in ANCOP’s work for the poor. Their Food From the Heart feeding program provides for an average of 200 meals to the homeless and hungry every month. The program takes them to downtown San Diego, Our Lady of Angels parish, Our Lady of Guadalupe parish, and to Kinship Kitchen.
